Dr. Grillot and Troy Vision Therapy would like to offer you a warm welcome!

Our office specializes in helping children who have difficulties with reading and learning as a result of vision problems.  Many times these vision problems go undiagnosed, but the negative effect on the child’s education can be pronounced.  In fact, a child can have 20/20 vision, and still have difficulty with reading and other close work.  Some of the problems related to vision difficulties include skipping words while reading, poor comprehension, poor spelling skills, losing place while reading, and acting out in class, to name a few.  A child can even be misdiagnosed as having ADD/ADHD.

Dr. Grillot conducts thorough vision assessments to determine if a vision problem is at the bottom of a child’s difficulties or contributes to them. If a vision problem is diagnosed appropriate treatment can be delivered at Troy Vision Therapy in most cases.

The typical vision screening identifies only 5% of vision problems in children.
